Fabrègues City Guide
Montpellier
Montpellier: a city to discover during your hotel stay
Montpellier: a sunny and lively city
Capital of the Languedoc region, the city of Montpellier is a must-see during your stay at the hotel. Animated, cultural, labelled City and Country of Art and History, Montpellier has many facets. To discover them, head for the Peyrou promenade to enjoy the terraced gardens and its panorama. Then we recommend the Écusson district. Historic centre of Montpellier, you will be charmed by its medieval atmosphere (rue de la Valfère, rue du bras de fer, rue de la argenterie). You will arrive at the emblematic Place de la Comédie where you can admire the superb Montpellier Opera and the elegant Fountain of the Three Graces. For your information, the Fabre Museum is just a few minutes away. If you go to the banks of the Lez, further east, you will reach the modern district of Antigone, designed by the Catalan architect Ricardo Bofill.
If you still have some time, several exceptional buildings are worth seeing, such as Sou Fujimoto's "Arbre Blanc" at Place Christophe Colomb, London architect Farshid Moussavi's "Folie Divine" at 5 Rue Léonard de Vinci and Starck's "Nuage" at 769 Av. de la Mer-Raymond Dugrand.
